Our family has been connected to Tihany and hospitality for generations.
We grew up alongside the development of Tihany’s tourism and have always considered it important that visitors can take home something of real local value.
More than twenty years ago, our mother was among the first to offer lavender products in Tihany.
The younger generation continued this initiative by opening the Lavender Shop Tihany – a place where visitors can find exclusively local products made from lavender.
Through our everyday encounters, it became clear that people are not only looking for gifts:
they want to take home the Tihany experience, a genuine connection, and locally made products.
This desire inspired us to create the Lavender Tihany Laboratory – a place where craftsmanship, expertise, and dedication to quality meet.
Today, with the entire Lavender Tihany team, we work to create authentic, locally produced, premium-quality Tihany products – those that represent Tihany not only through their fragrance but also through their philosophy.

Lavender Tihany operates with a full value chain, following the FARM TO HOME philosophy:
from lavender cultivation, through distillation in Tihany and the production of natural cosmetics in our local laboratory, to the finished products reaching homes – every step happens locally.

Tihany Distillery – The Foundation of Quality
The Lavender Tihany Visitor Center houses one of Hungary’s most modern lavender distilleries.
Combining modern technology with traditional methods, this is where our high-purity, trademarked Tihany lavender oil is produced – the foundation of all our natural cosmetics.
Visitors can also explore the distillery’s operation: they can witness the process where the scent, color, and essence of Tihany lavender are transformed into oil – naturally and gently.
Open Laboratory – Where Science Meets Craftsmanship
Our products are made in the Lavender Tihany Laboratory, where unique formulas developed by a pharmacist and a chemical engineer ensure the stability, effectiveness, and skin-friendliness of our natural cosmetics.
As part of the visitor center, guests can closely observe how lavender creams, aromatherapy oils, and other products are created – right where the raw material itself is grown.
This openness is part of our transparency and authenticity: with us, quality is not just a promise, but a tangible experience.
